Project TORCH: Research Ethics Training: Beyond Compliance - Embracing Ethics for Responsible Research


The Research and Publication Department invites you to Project TORCH: Research Ethics Training: Beyond Compliance - Embracing Ethics for Responsible Research on Friday, February 28, 2025, from 9:00 AM to 4:00 PM, in the Research, Innovation, and Creatives Hub (RICH) Room (formerly the Research Extension Office) and via Zoom.


This training aims to enhance faculty and researchers' knowledge and understanding of ethical considerations in research. The seminar will cover fundamental research ethics principles and their application, emphasize obtaining ethics clearance for research involving human participants, provide guidelines on responsible authorship, data management, and plagiarism prevention, and encourage ethical sensitivity in research design and conduct.

We are honored to have Dr. Elizabeth Bautista, RN, PhD, from Saint Louis University, Baguio, as our speaker. Dr. Bautista previously chaired the Research Ethics Committee at SLU and is currently the Chair of the Nursing Department.
