Mesana Published Co-Authored Paper in Q1 ISI-listed and Scopus Indexed journal

Mr. John Christopher Mesana, a faculty member of the Senior High School Department, had published his co-authored paper in the latest volume of Leisure Studies: The Journal of the Leisure Studies Association. He co-authored the said publication along with Prof. Allan de Guzman of the University of Santo Tomas.

Entitled “Happiology in Community Festivals: A Case of Filipino Repeat Local Participants”, this phenomenological inquiry elucidated the ontology of festival happiness among a select group of Filipino repeat participants in three major community festivals in the Philippines. Field texts were analyzed via primary and secondary coding analyses and through constant comparison of data. The Cone of Repeat Participants Festival Happiness consisting of distinct views of festival happiness as rootedness and responsibility has emerged in this qualitative study.
