The Research and Publication Departments of Colegio de San Juan de Letran-Manila and Colegio de San Juan de Letran-Bataan had sponsored a webinar entitled “Project TORCH: How to Do Research During the COVID-19 Pandemic” last November 4, 2020.

Attendees from both Letran Manila and Bataan campuses had participated in the groundbreaking webinar on how to continue the culture of research writing and development despite the ongoing pandemic that limits peoples’ mobility and action. Assoc. Prof. Glen Mangali of the College of Liberal Arts and Sciences, Letran Manila served as the event’s Resource Speaker.

The webinar focused on the effects of COVID-19 to the global and national community, most especially on how it changed the research and academic landscapes. Assoc. Prof. Mangali pointed out various entry points in research that could be done even while staying at home as well as their methods and their applications. He also introduced meta-analysis and systematic reviews as alternative ways on how to continue research during these challenging times.

A total of 51 participants had graced the event, together with the staff members and directors from Letran Manila (Asst. Prof. Louie Ian Mariano) and Letran Bataan (Mr. John Ian Seeckts)
