Assoc. Prof. Glen Mangali, PhD, a faculty member of the College of Liberal Arts and Sciences, had published two of his papers in Vol. 9 Issue 3 and Vol. 10 Issue 3 of the World Journal of Pharmacy and Pharmaceutical Sciences, an international online academic journal
Entitled Antimicrobial Activity of Orthosiphon Aristatus (Balbas Pusa) Nano Particle and Leaf Extract Against E. Coli and S. Aureus, the study dealt with the nano particles of orthosiphon aristatus for phytochemical and microbial activities. The aim of this research is to start developing nanomaterials, starting from balbas pusa nano particles, that will be essential for technological advances in the country.
His second publication in the same journal is entitled Ethnobotanical Survey of Selected Medical Plants Used in Children of Mabilong and Botbot Tribe in Kalinga, Philippines fused indigenous knowledge and scientific analysis for the benefit of our indigenous community. Through Guided field work, interview, focus group discussion, and field observation, information was crosschecked for validation and analysis.
