Letran Manila and Bataan’s Rector and VPAA Published in Colloquia Manilana

The Rector and President of Colegio de San Juan de Letran Manila and Bataan, Rev. Fr. Clarence Victor C. Marquez, O.P. SThD, and the Vice President for Academic Affairs also of Colegio de San Juan de Letran Manila and Bataan, Assoc. Prof. Cristina M. Castro-Cabral, PhD, had published their research paper entitled Building an Integrative Organizational Culture for ONELETRAN Based on the 4I Framework in 28th Volume of Colloquia Manilana, the interdisciplinary journal of the Institute of Preaching.

This mixed method study of Rev. Fr. Marquez and Assoc Prof. Cabral is a continuation of their previous analysis on the status and future of the ONELETRAN System, a collection of Letran schools consisting of Letran Manila, the mother campus, Letran Calamba (Laguna), Letran Abucay (Bataan), and Letran Manaoag (Pangasinan). In this paper, Cabral and Marquez underlined how the ONELETRAN System answers to the 4I Management Framework by Schilling and Kluge (2008). This framework includes four processes—intuiting, interpreting, integrating, and institutionalizing—and how they interact with each other for the development of the organization. The 4I Framework was contextualized in the experiences, challenges, and learnings of the administration, faculty members, and support staff of each Letran school.

Due to organizational and structural distinctions, various experiences endemic to their geographies, and the overall cultural atmosphere in each of the Letran schools, the ONELETRAN integration is interspersed with various opinions and decision that only made its history and progress more interesting. With the participation of the grassroots in the study, it is hoped that the integration project that is the ONELETRAN System shall be more fruitful and advantageous.

Prof. Cabral is published, may be accessed in the Colloquia Manilana Library located in the Santo Domingo Church Compound, Quezon City.
