Research Center Spearheads a Five-Day Quantitative Analysis Seminar Series for Faculty Members

The Letran Research Center spearheaded a five-day Seminar Workshop on Quantitative Data Analysis last June 18-22, 2018 at the Balagtas Hall and Computer Lab 1. This seminar-workshop series aims to enhance the quantitative data analysis capabilities of faculty members in preparation for quantitative types of research endeavors. This event was attended by faculty members from the College of Liberal Arts and Sciences, College of Business Administration and Accountancy, Senior High School Department, and representatives from Colegio de San Juan de Letran-Bataan.

 

Specific topics and the speakers of the seminar series are as follows:

 

Session 1 (June 18): Levels of Measurement; Identifying Variables; Hypothesis Testing

Lecturer: Asst. Prof. Agnes Jocelyn P. Bandojo (Faculty, College of Commerce and Business Administration, University of Santo Tomas)

 

Session 2 (June 19): Introduction to Data Management using MS Excel and SPSS; Reliability Analysis; Introduction to Descriptive Statistics; Parametric and Non-Parametric Tests

Session 3 (June 20): Determining Significant Differences; Determining Relationships through Correlation; Predicting using Regression; Data Reduction Techniques

Session 4 (June 21): Introduction to Path Analysis; Conducting Mediation and Moderation; Introduction to SEM using AMOS
