The Research and Publication Department congratulates Engr. Christian Arnel Alcantara, faculty member of the College of Engineering and Information Technology, for his active participation in two prestigious international conferences where he presented significant research contributions.
Engr. Alcantara first presented at the 2026 10th International Conference on Robotics, Control and Automation (ICRCA 2026), held on March 28–30, 2026, at Osaka University, Japan. His paper, titled “IoT-Enabled Smart Laboratory System for Safety and Energy Optimization in Academic Environments,” explored the integration of Internet of Things (IoT) technologies to enhance laboratory safety measures and improve energy efficiency in academic settings.
He also presented at the 2026 12th International Conference on Electrical Engineering, Control and Robotics (EERC 2026), held on April 6–8, 2026, at Xi’an Jiaotong-Liverpool University in Suzhou, China. His research paper, “Development and Validation of an LQR-Optimized State-Feedback Controller for DC Motor Position Control,” introduced an advanced control strategy utilizing Linear Quadratic Regulator (LQR) techniques to improve precision and stability in DC motor systems.
These international research engagements underscore Engr. Alcantara’s dedication to advancing knowledge in engineering and technology. His work contributes to the development of innovative and reliable solutions while strengthening the institution’s presence in the global research community.
