The Colegio officially entered into a collaborative partnership with the Philippine Institute of Certified Public Accountants (PICPA) and the PICPA Foundation through a virtual MOU signing ceremony held on March 19, 2026. The initiative underscores a shared commitment to advancing education and bridging professional practice with academic instruction.
Representing the Colegio, Vice President for Academic Affairs Prof. Danilo K. Villena, Ph.D., led the initiative, which establishes a Customized Teacher Certificate Program (TCP) exclusively designed for qualified PICPA members. The program is envisioned to equip Certified Public Accountants with essential pedagogical knowledge and teaching competencies, enabling them to effectively transition into roles within the academe.
Through this partnership, the program aims to strengthen the quality of instruction in accountancy and business education by preparing industry professionals to become competent educators. It also supports the continuous professional development of CPAs, aligning their expertise with the evolving demands of higher education.
