In line with Colegio de San Juan de Letran Manila’s continued commitment to internationalization and global academic engagement, the Research and Publication Department thru its Global Engagement and Linkages Unit, in coordination with the Elementary and Junior High School and Senior High School Departments, successfully formalized a partnership with Wako High School Tokyo, Japan through the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU).
Following a series of online coordination meetings with Mr. Akira Hashimoto, Principal of Wako High School, together with members of their faculty, representatives from both institutions gathered for the official MOU Signing Ceremony held at the Wako High School campus in Tokyo, Japan. Present during the ceremony were the Rector and President, Rev. Fr. Raymund Fernando P. Jose, O.P., and the Principal of the Senior High School Department, Ms. Geraldine Lagmay, MBIED. They were accompanied by Fr. Patricio Hiwatig, OP and Asst. Prof. John Carlo, Timajo, MBA.
The Memorandum of Understanding establishes a framework for future collaboration between the two institutions, including cultural exchange programs, academic initiatives, research collaboration, and other mutually beneficial activities that aim to strengthen intercultural understanding and global competencies among students and faculty.
We express our sincere gratitude to Wako High School Tokyo for this opportunity to build a meaningful and sustainable academic partnership. Both institutions look forward to a fruitful and successful collaboration in the years ahead.
